Water System Billing Information
- Water System users are billed a flat rate once a year.
- The service year runs from June 1 through May 31, billing forward.
- Each year’s flat rate is determined by the Salem Town Council during its budget process. The 2025-2026 rate was $286 per Unit.
- The Unit value is assessed on each property according to the Regulations below.

PLEASE NOTE: The annual Debt Service payment for all accessible properties in the Water District is $177 per Unit and can be found as a separate line on the Town & County Tax Bill due every January.
